The above links demonstrate a basic navigational structure using an unordered list styled with CSS. Use this as a starting point and modify the properties to produce your own unique look. If you require flyout menus, create your own using a Spry menu, a menu widget from Adobe's Exchange or a variety of other javascript or CSS solutions.

If you would like the navigation along the top, simply move the ul.nav to the top of the page and recreate the styling.

Design Principles

The principles of design describe the ways that artists use the elements of art in a work of art. Balance is the distribution of the visual weight of objects, colors, texture, and space. If the design was a scale, these elements should be balanced to make a design feel stable.

Balance

I added the heartagram on both sides to have balance.

Promimity

I put the braille dots close to each other for proximity.

Alignment

I aligned the braille logo with each other.

Repetition

I put the HIM logo and heartagram several times to add repetition.

Contrast

Red and green are across each other in the color wheel so i put those colors in to add contrast.

Space

I put the braille logo then added the dark edges to apper that there was more space then there was?
