Tween Animation
Explanation
I made this animation using three layers: an "actions" layer, a "button" layer, and a "shapes" layer. On the action layer, I used the F9 hotkey to apply a "Stop" command to the tweens to keep them from activating upon opening the SWF. On the "button" layer I created a rectangle in the bottom-left of the screen and turned it into a button symbol. Then, using the F9 hotkey, I applied a play-upon-release command. On the third layer, the "shapes" layer, I created a circle and turned it into a motion tween, where I would extend that layer as many frames as I wished it to last and draw the path I wanted the object to follow. These three layers, working in conjunction, would allow me to make the object begin its travel by pressing the button. I created nine more shapes (each with unique travel paths) and nine more buttons to activate them. the first five shapes follow a path of motion, whereas the final five, using a shape tween as opposed to a motion tween, do both that and have their original shapes burst open as they travel, resulting in more shapes at the end.
