Interactive Media Arts Pathway description this career pathway prepares students to use computer applications and related visual ans sound imaging techniques to manipulate images and information originating as video still photographs digital copy soundtracks and physical objects in order to communicate messages simulating real world content. Include instruction in specialized camerawork and equipment operation and maintenance, image capture, coputer applications, dubbing ,and applications to specific commercial, industrial, and entertainment needs, including: aesthetic meaning, appreaciation adn analysis; construction, development, processing ,modeling, simulation and programming of interactive experiences; their transmission, distribution and marketing, as well as contextual, cultural and historic aspects and considerations.

Typography

Typographisy (from the Greek words τύπος typos "form" and γράφειν graphein "to write") is the art and technique of arranging type to make written language readable and beautiful. The arrangement of type involves selecting typefaces, point size, line length, line-spacing (leading), letter-spacing (tracking), and adjusting the space within letters pairs (kerning). Type design a closely related craft, sometimes considered part of typography; most typographers do not design typefaces, and some type designers do not consider themselves typographers.In modern times, typography has been put in film, television and online broadcasts to add emotion to communication.

Wordle is a toy for generating “word clouds” from text that you provide. The clouds give greater prominence to words that appear more frequently in the source text. You can tweak your clouds with different fonts, layouts, and color schemes. The images you create with Wordle are yours to use however you like. You can print them out, or save them to your own desktop to use as you wish.

Adobe InDesign is a desktop publishing software application produced by Adobe Systems. It can be used to create works such as posters, flyers, brochures, magazines, newspapers and books. InDesign can also publish content suitable for tablet devices in conjunction with Adobe Digital Publishing Suite. Graphic designers and production artists are the principal users, creating and laying out periodical publications, posters, and print media. It also supports export to EPUB and SWF formats to create e-books and digital publications, including digital magazines, and content suitable for consumption on tablet computers. In addition, InDesign supports XML, style sheets and other coding markup, making it suitable for exporting tagged text content for use in other digital and online formats. The Adobe InCopy word processor uses the same formatting engine as InDesign.


ASCII

 

ASCII art is a graphic design technique that uses computers for presentation and consists of pictures pieced together from the 95 printable (from a total of 128) characters defined by the ASCII Standard from 1963 and ASCII compliant character sets with proprietary extended characters (beyond the 128 characters of standard 7-bit ASCII). The term is also loosely used to refer to text based visual art in general. ASCII art can be created with any text editor, and is often used with free-form languages. Most examples of ASCII art require a fixed-width font (non-proportional fonts, as on a traditional typewriter) such as Courier for presentation.
